Easter is here!
So, this year we've decided to start our own Durkin Easter Tradition...we'll see how many years it last. Here's the tradition. On Easter morning, wake up and open baskets. And then, Emma has to go and hide while the Easter bunny comes and hides her 10 plastic Easter eggs filled with chocolate and goldfish. Why 10? Because it's the only way I'll be able to make sure
there aren't more eggs hiding after she "finds them all". We don't want to be egg hunting until December!Oh, and the winner (he who finds their 10 eggs first) wins the chocolate bunny. Big advantage for Emma this year...there weren't any other children to compete!
Needless to say, it was a hit! Emma loved it. She would find one and point at it before she went to retrieve it. Then she'd say to all of us (Me, Gregg, Auntie Anne and Uncle Denny), "You see it?". Once we confirmed that we also saw the egg, she'd run over, open all its contents into her basket and run off looking for MORE EGGS!

Afterwards, we all had a really nice brunch at the Brass Rail in Hoboken. And then Auntie Anne and I got a special treat - we had pedicures! That's my kind of Easter!
